I have gained control of my eating habits

Focus more on myself

I have struggled with a weight issue

For many years I have struggled with a weight issue. I realised that I was, in fact, self-sabotaging, but I never knew or understood why?

Hypnotherapy, for me, was an alien concept, partly due to the fact I didn’t understand it. Throughout the process, I have gained so much knowledge about myself and identified so many triggers causing my self-sabotage.

Interestingly, hardly any of the problems were because I loved food and therefore that’s why I had a weight issue.

I was using food for comfort

Smoking was affecting my health

A powerful and life-changing experience

At the completion of the 6-week programme with Anna I can now say it has been a powerful and life-changing experience. When I called Anna to enquire about hypnotherapy I was desperate. I was hoping to find something that could get rid of the anxiety and the physical symptoms that associated with it straightaway. I’m glad I didn’t fall into this pop-in-a-pill-and-all-will-be-fine mentality this time. Smoking is no longer on my radar

I had been a smoker for 15 years and had tried multiple times to quit with little and no success in the long term. Whenever quitting, I would feel anxious, panicked and overwhelmed.

After one session with Anna, I haven’t looked back. When thoughts of smoking cross my mind I acknowledge them and then push them away and move on. Smoking is just simply something I no longer do. It is not even on my radar.

No more diets

Problem with public speaking

Anna, was fantastic!

Before I went to see Anna I had a problem with public speaking; I was a confident person naturally but did fake confidence in front of crowd and starting to become increasingly anxious about presenting, to the point where I could almost pass out. During hypnotherapy we uncovered significant stress and anxiety issues caused by my job and earlier events in my life, that although managing well, were part of my problem(s). I had been bottling this all up and although uncomfortable bringing these issues to the surface, was actually able to deal with them and further analyse and overcome root cause systemic problems.

Since completing my course with Anna I feel very happy within myself and a lot more confident. There has been some interesting personal and professional opportunities come my way and I have been successful in MC'ing a Wedding and conducting a presentation in front of 100 staff at work with only minor nerves. This is empowering and I am putting myself out there now for further opportunities to present.

I'm also doing a bit more exercise which I think comes from more self-commitment. With the eating I fluctuate a bit but the thing I have noticed is that I know I'm choosing to eat, so it's more of a decision, which I think is good, it's not so mindless as before so I know I have more control over it. I have lost a few kilos though.

Fear of needles

Fear of public speaking

I came to work on my fear of public speaking because I want to progress in my career. I appreciated the psychology behind the hypnosis, i.e., the discussions prior to going under, to gather information but also to have realisations about topics pre and post hypnosis. The end of the session “cues” were great for helping to be mindful of staying on track. It was more than hypnotherapy and it uncovered other areas for me to work on. I am already handling stuff better, and have noticed an improvement on how I feel about being called up to talk in front of a crowd at work.

Simple process in a relaxed atmosphere. I felt like I was “being sucked into the armchair”, as I drifted into a peaceful place of happiness where everything/the future without smoking appeared so logical.

Shy Bladder

I was a long time smoker, somewhat doubtful, but desperate to give up. I just couldn’t do it on my own after many attempts. I am now 30 days clear, and haven’t wanted one. An ex-smoker always wants a smoke. A non-smoker asks why would anyone want to?

Anna turned me back into a non-smoker rather than making me an ex-smoker. I honestly haven’t considered having one in 30 days, and would have considered that impossible. I’m somewhat surprised at how effective it has been, but am also very grateful.

Feeling normal again

5 weeks since hypnosis and I am now smoke free without the overpowering cravings. I was a pack a day smoker and had tried to quit in the past, lasting only 3-4 days before giving in to the overpowering cravings, fighting all the way but with hypnotherapy the cravings are minimal and last about 2 seconds before your subconscious mind reminds you that you don’t smoke anymore and you move on quickly from any cravings. Anna was professional, friendly and down to earth and I would recommend her highly if you want to succeed in becoming a non-smoker. 10/10

I had cut down my portion sizes

I became overweight after the loss of my mother and my grief caused me to feel ravenous hunger. I just found it easier not to snack

I wasn’t convinced but after many unsuccessful attempts to lose weight, I thought hypnotherapy would be worth a try.
